The new Quantum Evo W: Easy handling, high performance touring.
The trademark of the Quantum ski touring line, the key technologies of the Bonded Shell construction and dual link cuff, are also used in the Quantum EVO model. In the Bonded Shell construction developed by Dalbello, the lower shell of the boot consists of two separate parts. These are fused using a special process to form a ski boot with superb anatomical fit. On the Quantum EVO and the Quantum EVO W women’s model, both parts are made entirely of Grilamid, interspersed with carbon fibers. This makes the outer shell exceptionally durable and even lighter so that the models weigh 999 g (Quantum EVO) and 1,020 g (Quantum EVO W) respectively. This design, combined with the materials, makes the boot especially light, but at the same time stiffer, which provides direct power transmission and outstanding performance on the descent. The upper cuff (dual link cuff) also comprises two parts. On the new models, the profile of the front is higher to create more space for the instep when putting on the boot, making it easier to get on.  The Quantum EVO also employs Grilamid in the dual link cuff. As well as delivering even greater weight savings, this also improves torsional rigidity for improved control over the skis.   The two top models (Quantum EVO, Quantum EVO W) are also equipped with the dual density rocker sole by Vibram. This provides two different hardness levels: solid rubber at the front and rear of the sole, where the boot comes into contact with the binding, promotes direct power transmission and downhill performance. Softer rubber underfoot improves grip for walking.
